With the countertop, you have complete freedom. We used the bamboo countertop from IKEA downstairs, and upstairs in the bathroom, I made a custom one from solid wood planks. This allows for a really individual touch.

We have the same setup in the granny flat and I have to say it’s a great piece. The tall cabinets from the same series placed side by side also make good storage for towels.

We are finally making progress here... On Wednesday, we started with the terrace, and the driveway and walkway will follow immediately after. The bordered area will be paved with 60x60 cm (24x24 inches) concrete slabs, while the driveway and paths will be laid with AKA pavers 'Jena'.
