Even with my skills, it worked perfectly and was quite resistant to mechanical damage.
However, I’m not sure how weather-resistant the material is. My feeling is that it shouldn’t be a problem.
I don’t know the exact name, but the friendly guy at the hardware store will gladly show you the right shelf. It wasn’t exactly cheap, though. I think I paid around 15–20 € per square meter.

I don’t think these tile colors for the bathroom and kitchen are suitable for exterior use. But you could look into baseboard or concrete paint. With the right primer beforehand, you can probably make something work. You could try a test coat on a corner.
