Good morning home builders.
A question: Who is building with a gas heating system according to the new building regulations?
I ask because I have to install the most expensive windows to achieve an overall U-value of 0.7 (due to the new regulations).
How is it for you?

He probably has to install an air-to-water heat pump, but it will probably never be operated correctly. When I read things like this, it just makes me sick.
Furthermore, I believe this is complete nonsense. If someone comes for an inspection (random checks), there will be serious consequences because the calculations do not match the actual construction.

When I read something like that, it just makes me want to puke. Now, now, this is certainly not about subsidy fraud, I agree with you there...
This is what happens when the market is overregulated by our ambitious policies (lobby).

toxicmolotof5 Jun 2016 12:20No, it's simply nonsense. Why buy a heat pump (6,000-10,000 EUR) just to have it on paper?
And whether this counts as subsidy fraud or not, fortunately, I don’t have to decide.

Furthermore, I believe this is complete nonsense. If someone comes for an inspection (spot checks), there will be serious consequences, because the calculations don’t match the actual execution. Despite understandable frustration—what are you more upset about than the reasoning behind it? Every single-family home built using KfW funding is inspected after completion. That means homeowners receive a letter from KfW. The letter requires that, based on delivery notes presented, a certified expert or energy consultant confirms that the KfW "x" was actually achieved. How many experts or energy consultants do you think intentionally risk their job or integrity? Exactly—very few. And the small remainder is managed by the market itself. And honestly? Homeowners who engage in this type of fraud deserve to be penalized!

So it remains pure speculation. Maybe the person is only trying to meet the current Energy Saving Ordinance.

Bauexperte5 Jun 2016 15:15Hello Marcus,
No worries!
I was referring to Benjamin, who is upset about post #28. The described building project of the neighbor leaves no other conclusion than that KfW 70 standard must be achieved, but for cost reasons they rely on gas without any further measures and are installing a dummy air-to-water heat pump as a “token” solution.
This will be noticed sooner or later; that’s why I want to spare Benjamin some headaches 😉
