Hi,

Who is responsible for sealing the main utility connection box at the house?
Is the basic service provider the right contact for this box?

Thanks

Yes. In my case, the utility company Bayernwerk or E-on is responsible.

I need to replace the formwork control panel and have someone in my network who has the proper tools and training. However, I’m not sure how the process with the main supply box works – can I notify the utility provider that we need to work on it, and will they reseal it afterward?

That would defeat the purpose of a seal. That’s exactly why it is attached—to prevent just anyone from tampering with it.

The purpose of the seal is to prevent tampering before the meter.

We installed the circuit breakers ourselves – this happens behind the main service panel. You go from the main service panel to the meter. The meter is also sealed. Only after that does the house wiring begin – there you are allowed to install or replace breakers (not as a layperson, but if you are not using the local utility provider) and perform other tasks. For this, the seal on the main service panel does not have to be removed.
