Hello,
we are currently in the final phase of our construction (painting work).
We have now discovered a horizontal crack in the plaster. Length about 1.20 m (4 feet). Please see the attached photo for the width. Is this crack concerning?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards

No, you will still get many such cracks over time. Unfortunately, this is normal. And this one is really tiny...

Not concerning, many more will still be coming.

Fiber fleece would have helped; it prevents the cracks from being visible. Not dangerous, just looks unattractive.

What exactly is this fiber fleece? None of my colleagues have used it, and we don’t use it ourselves either. Is it more common in the north than in the south?

Painter’s fleece is a durable bonded underlay that prevents cracking on wall surfaces caused by "moving walls."

The crack is neither hazardous nor visually appealing.
