Hello!
We finally want to activate the lighting in the Hopen box. So far, the cable has only been resting on top of the box. How have you installed the light, cable, and transformer? The on/off switch is also not the best solution. How are you managing with it?
Best regards, Andi

IKEA-Experte20 Apr 2015 17:41Hello, what is the HOPEN box?
I
IKEA-Experte23 Apr 2015 12:22I know HOPEN, but I didn’t realize that a “Kasten” means a cabinet.
Aren’t NON spots installed in there?
I don’t see a better option than having the cables and transformer on top of the cabinet. It’s not visible up there anyway.
Is the switch on the power cord?

🙂 Oh, I must have missed that.
Yes, the lighting is installed inside at the top, and the cable is there too. But the switch is located just after the power supply, about 30cm (12 inches) away. The instructions don’t provide any guidance for perfect wiring. I saw a picture online where the cable just hung down on the side. That doesn’t look nice. And the switch itself isn’t exactly ideal either.
