Hello everyone,
Since I do a lot of manual work myself, I know how much good tools can help during the execution. I have had little experience with painting and plastering so far, but I will be doing these tasks myself. I have already bought a decent plastering tool set and wanted to know if there is also a good painting tool set? All those Amazon sets are okay for one room but not suitable for an entire house. Do you have a good manufacturer to recommend?
Thank you very much!

Bauenaberwie21 Oct 2022 08:18So, I have now ordered a 14-piece set from Storch and the spatula set from Parfait. For floor protection, I will use Brillux covering fleece as well as protective sheets. Is there any other tool or material that I have forgotten?
Well, painter’s tape. For sharp edges. If you don’t have any (everything is the same color) and your protective sheets already have integrated adhesive edges, you might not need it. But good painter’s tape is always useful. Also for applying silicone sealant if you’re not yet confident doing it freehand (I’m not, should use tape, but I’m usually too lazy. That’s why it often looks like it does).
Hmm… I’ve never bought sets before. They usually include extra stuff that isn’t really needed.
For example, I still have old roller handles from 10 years ago, so you mostly just need replacement rollers for different paint colors if you can’t clean them properly.
Either get your tools from where you buy the paint, or the nearest DIY store will be your best option.
On site, you can also see what’s available and what you personally might be missing.
Protective sheeting, fleece covers, masking tape in various widths, fillers or plaster. For these, a small container, corner brushes, an old piece of wood for stirring…

So, for the next house I will … It’s striking how many people talk about their next house when they have just built one or are still in the process of building one ;-)
