Hello everyone, I built a retaining wall next to the neighboring property using formwork blocks and filled it with concrete. Behind it, there is a dimpled membrane, and I plastered the front with reinforcing mesh. After that, I applied brown exterior paint. Unfortunately, the wall is heavily blistering and doesn’t look good. Does anyone have any tips on how to improve this? Is there possibly a type of paint that prevents water from causing these stains? Thanks for your help, attached is a photo.

The proper renovation would be to excavate from the back, waterproof, install a dimpled membrane or drainage board, possibly a drainage system, and backfill with gravel.
Another option is to apply a renovation plaster (sacrificial render), which must be replaced once it becomes saturated.
Another possibility is to cover the wall in some way.

Best regards
