Hello,

I am currently planning our new kitchen and would like to install a refrigerator-freezer combo (NOT from IKEA). It is 144 cm (57 inches) high and has two doors (refrigerator at the bottom, freezer compartment at the top). BEKO RBI 6302.

I am desperately looking for a solution, but Metod cabinets all have different dimensions. The refrigerator should be installed either in a 148 cm (58 inches) high cabinet with two doors or in a 208 cm (82 inches) high cabinet with two doors plus a drawer underneath. The door dimensions are: 1015 mm (40 inches) at the bottom and 333 mm (13 inches) at the top.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello,
it doesn’t fit into the 140 cm (55 inches) cabinet, so it has to be the 200 cm (79 inches) one.
For the freezer compartment door, you need a 40 cm (16 inches) high door, and for the refrigerator door, a 120 cm (47 inches) high one. That leaves 40 cm (16 inches) remaining. A 40 cm (16 inches) high drawer at the bottom would place the freezer compartment quite high, so a 20 cm (8 inches) high drawer underneath is better. That leaves 20 cm (8 inches) at the top. A drawer in that space is not practical, and converting the drawer front into a door is also not ideal, so instead of a 40 cm (16 inches) freezer door, a 60 cm (24 inches) one should be used. The space above the freezer compartment is then only accessible when the freezer door is opened.

My suggestion: 20 cm (8 inches) drawer, 120 cm (47 inches) refrigerator door, 60 cm (24 inches) freezer door.

The base for the BEKO must be installed so that approximately the center between the doors aligns with the gap between the cabinet doors.

If the user is tall enough, a 30 cm (12 inches) drawer at the bottom and a 10 cm (4 inches) panel at the top would also be possible.

Thank you, IKEA-Expert, for the quick reply!
I think I will go with a 30cm (12 inch) drawer at the bottom. That should be big enough for us.
Thanks again for the tip. Now I just need to find out if you can configure a cabinet like that online...
Best regards
