I need some help with the floor plan for the basement. I would like to place the entrance door on the south side, as that is where the street is. It would also be nice if the entrance area had a slight "curve" inward to the house to create a small roof overhang. Otherwise, another solution would be needed for that.
We love the open living area but are open to changes as long as the space remains airy.
I’m starting to get quite frustrated and would appreciate any support 😊

I’d like to fill out a questionnaire, where can I find it? Pinned as the first post in this subforum.

The plan for the upper floor isn’t ready yet, That can’t be right, can it? You want to build a house, not two different floor plans?

Will there be a pitched roof on top? Or a second floor?
Is there a site plan showing the road?
Is the plot on a slope?

The driveway and garage absolutely must be on the west side. The house also has to be located exactly at this spot; for me, the focus is more on the interior, and I think the zoning or development plan probably won’t help much with that. You can definitely trust an experienced user, no need to ask about basics for no reason or unnecessarily.

The plan for the upper floor is not finalized yet, the ground floor [...] takes priority. Definitely not!
For many (99+ %) homebuilders, the ground floor (usually the main living area) is more important, but that’s not the point in planning here: the fact is, it’s much more difficult to derive a more complex upper level from a simpler lower level than the other way around. This would even frustrate professionals, so they simply start “from the top.” It’s the same old problem that laypeople start from the bottom (and like millions before them, only realize at the end of the dead end that they can’t proceed further). The solution is quite simple: reverse the planning order, and everything runs smoothly. Architects learn this in their introductory seminar before their first semester.
