We will have a masonry shower in our main bathroom. This bathroom is located on the upper floor and has a vaulted ceiling. The partition wall for the shower should therefore not extend all the way up to the ceiling but only serve as a divider.

My question is: What is the typical height for such a partition wall?
210 cm (83 inches)? 220 cm (87 inches)? 250 cm (98 inches)?
What would make the most sense here?

My masonry shower partition wall is 210 cm (83 inches) high in a room with a ceiling height of just under 260 cm (102 inches). I find this height appropriate. For me, the chosen wall tile fit exactly six times in height, with the base tile used around the entire bathroom at the bottom. Unfortunately, I can't provide a good photo because the bathroom is so small that I just can't manage it 😉

You need a minimum of 210 cm (83 inches). We went with 230 cm (91 inches).

We have a ceiling height of about 2.70 meters (8 feet 10 inches), and a height of 2.20 meters (7 feet 3 inches) has been suggested for the partition wall. The overhead shower will be installed on that wall.

Starting from 200cm (79 inches), the biggest disasters are prevented. If even small droplets are a problem, I would add another 20-30cm (8-12 inches)...

Visually, the height should naturally be appropriate, just like the wall. Otherwise, it would also depend on the depth of the shower. If your wall were 1.40 meters (4.6 feet) long, the shower screen wouldn’t need to be 1.80 meters (5.9 feet) high... but that would look odd.
