Hello everyone,
My wife and I are planning to build a house. At the moment, the architect is working on the plans for the building permit / planning permission.
For the heating system and hot water supply, we would like to use a combination of several modules.
First, we want to install a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery.
The base of the heating system should be an air-to-water heat pump, sized to cover the basic demand on its own. To generate hot water in the summer and provide additional support, we want to install solar thermal collectors.
As a third component, we would like a tiled stove with a water jacket.
So, we recently had an initial consultation with ZWS (we really just happened to walk past their office). They told us that "it is very difficult to combine so many modules and coordinate them with each other."
Is that true? What do you think? Are there really only a few providers who can manage that?

Hello,
Even with a single heat generator, achieving satisfactory cost-effectiveness often fails due to missing or inadequate sizing/calculation.
Practically any reasonably skilled installation company can do it and it will provide heat, but unfortunately it is usually not cost-effective.
Best regards
ticktack schrieb:There have already been many negative reports about combined systems, and in this case, they are correct. Every heat generator (HE) has specific requirements to achieve the highest possible annual efficiency. These differ significantly in some cases. The overall efficiency of such conglomerates is often dramatically poor, meaning the system is uneconomical.

Hello €uro,
thank you for your assessment, including the note regarding the buffer tank.
So is it generally the norm to have a heat generator?
Does that mean there is no integration of solar collectors into the heating system?
I’m starting to get completely confused...
Good luck

...So is it generally standard to have a heat generator!? That is mostly the case, although solar thermal systems often have to be added for primary energy reasons.ticktack schrieb:
...Is there then no connection of solar collectors to the heating system... Everything is possible, but whether it makes sense is rarely adequately discussed. A simple consideration helps here: When demand is highest (winter), the supply is at its lowest! This means the investment is only partially usable!
