I would like to continue renovating our apartment and now replace all the windows and doors.
There is a total of eight windows and one patio door. Some of the windows are accessible, and the balcony door definitely is, so I would like to have burglary protection there.
The Reform windows come with standard anti-lift protection.
However, I have no experience with this brand, and neither does anyone in my circle.
Does anyone here have experience with Reform windows?
What type of windows do you have?
Which windows do you think are the best?

But things can always go wrong both ways, or you just get lucky. However, you can inform yourself and also ask questions in forums.
Either you go directly to a manufacturer, get a good window but then have installation issues, or you go to a window installer who only represents one manufacturer and pushes their favorite model, so while the installation might be good, the window itself may not be the right choice.
I have an appointment next week at Reform Fenster, where I’ll have everything shown to me and get advice. That way, it’s much easier to compare when you know what to look for and can compare the same features.
In February, there is a building trade fair near me, which I will also attend. You can find many exhibitors there to ask plenty of questions.
If you have a house in the middle of the forest, hopefully no one will try to convince you to install the highest level of soundproofing. That’s what I mean about advice. Technically, many things might be possible, but the question is whether they make sense in the end.
The best thermal insulation in windows is great, but it’s useless if you lose a lot of heat through the façade. That is something you will also have to pay attention to.

Pakon, it is definitely a good idea to get informed sooner rather than later! Just take a look at different models, and you will quickly understand what you need and what you don’t. Usually, they will explain everything to you and offer advice... Double or triple glazing, wood, aluminum, or PVC, and so on... We chose Reform 3S windows for our house a few years ago because it was important to us that the windows provide effective sound insulation. So far, we are very satisfied with them. My wife prefers it quiet when sleeping... Additionally, the windows are quite easy to clean... Burglar resistance is included as standard – so far, nobody has tried to break in, and I hope it stays that way.
And as you said: it’s better to ask too many questions than too few... You quickly notice which providers are just trying to upsell, and which ones genuinely engage with their customers...

Yes, I will seek advice and am already gathering some questions.
This weekend, we are also going to the home building and energy saving fair in Tulln, where I will look around and collect information. If any questions come up there, I will write them down and clarify them during the consultation appointment. I think this is a good approach.
Thank you for the help.

Thanks for the help.Yes, exactly, just have them show and explain everything to you. You really get good advice there, and it is individually discussed what would work best for your house and your situation.
I didn’t even know there were fairs like that. I think your planned approach is a good one. Otherwise, you can find a lot online, and anyway, everything will be shown and explained during the consultation. I wish you lots of fun with the renovation!
