Hello,

I want to mount 3 of the Godmorgon cabinets on the wall. Everywhere I read only “appropriate fasteners,” and the helpful lady at Ikea said you can find anchors and screws at the checkout area. Honestly, she didn’t inspire much confidence. I have now bought Fischer UX 8x50 mm (3x2 inches) anchors and 6x80 mm (¼x3 inches) screws. Is that okay? The wall is from the 1980s—I guess concrete or whatever was commonly used back then ... definitely not an older building with sand plaster ... and the bathroom is tiled up to the ceiling.

I also have one more question: How far from an outside corner should I place the drill hole?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, screws and anchors are fine. If you are using those annoying chipboard screws with pan heads, make sure the screw head is large enough.
I am not quite sure why the cabinet needs to be fixed in four places, as two brackets at the top are usually sufficient for kitchen cabinets.
