Hello everyone,

we have a nice building plot in mind. However, it is on a slope, which doesn’t bother me much—I actually think a house on a slope could be quite interesting.

I have often browsed the websites of Town & Country, and their houses are all designed assuming flat terrain.

Does anyone know of a prefab house manufacturer that offers designs suitable for sloped plots? I haven’t really found anything on this. Could it be that manufacturers avoid this type of project because building on a slope is more demanding, since the hillside exerts pressure on the retaining walls?

I am also a bit concerned about the quality of the houses!

A house on a slope, whether a prefabricated or a solid construction, is best built with a solid basement that is properly waterproofed at the rear.

For a sloped site, it is not enough to simply place a standard house on top of a basement – there needs to be a harmonious integration between the outdoor area and the house. In my opinion, T+C, which I do not consider to deviate from the standard, is not suitable for this.

There are better home providers (including prefabricated houses) who offer an architect for such special plots – though this is in a different price range. I believe I have seen something like this on the websites/catalogs of Schwörerhaus or Luxhaus.

Hello,

of course, there are also prefab house providers that offer solutions for sloped plots.

Prefab houses nowadays (at least from high-quality manufacturers) no longer just mean standard houses with standard floor plans. Our prefab house, for example, was completely custom-designed according to our specifications.

In addition to the providers mentioned by ypg, I would also recommend inquiring with Weberhaus, Weiss Haus, and Keitel-Haus.
