ᐅ Handleless kitchen fronts, good quality and affordable – which manufacturer?

Hello everyone,

we are currently looking into the kitchen for our newly built single-family home. After the first visits to suppliers (2 large chains and 1 small studio), the general conclusion is: a frustrating black box with no price transparency – the estimates were often well above the stated budget, and none of the appointments included a written quote to prevent easy comparison.

My question is: which provider/manufacturer would you consider for the following requirements:

Kitchen layout: G-shaped kitchen, no wall cabinets
Design: handleless kitchen
Kitchen length: just under 11m (36 feet), all base cabinets except for 2 tall cabinets for fridge-freezer combo and oven + microwave
Worktop height: 90cm (35 inches)
Worktop: integrated into window frame, replacing the windowsill. Option 1: laminate, thickness approx. 25mm (1 inch). Option 2: engineered stone, thickness approx. 25mm (1 inch).
Front price category: PG 3 or PG 4, real matte lacquer
Splashback: matte glass

Target price would be under €6,500 (including sink and faucet combined about €400 online) and laminate worktop, without appliances, including delivery and installation (kitchen and externally sourced appliances), so roughly €600 (about $660) per meter.

Current quote for electrical appliances: €5,180 gross including delivery to curbside.

Do you think this is achievable, or do we need to lower our requirements (fronts price group / appliances) to stay under €12,000? At Ikea, we would be around €3,500 plus assembly without appliances, but their selection of handleless fronts does not suit us.

Thank you very much for your advice.

We just went to Ikea and looked at everything. We actually like the Voxtorp fronts the best, even though they are more expensive.
I was experimenting with the planner earlier but still can’t get a good result, and then it crashed. I can’t log back in or access my design anymore, no idea why. I’ll try again tonight.
Is it possible to plan “dead corners” with Ikea cabinets, or do you have to buy those corner units for sure?
Also, in the planner, some tall cabinets showed only one door instead of two, which looked very strange. Maybe those units aren’t available, or it was a bug in the planner on my end. I’ll keep you updated.

So far, we haven’t built corner layouts, only free-standing modules. Of course, corners are possible, but you should check out the corner cabinets. They probably work well, but I can’t really say. You should definitely have a worktop measured by them directly because you probably don’t want to join pieces with a strip like we used to in our shared apartment. Or, as someone mentioned above, you can have a worktop custom-made at a hardware store (building supply store), but measuring on-site is advisable in case the wall angle isn’t exactly 90 degrees.
The whole idea of a “dead wall” is beyond me... If the kitchen ends freely in the room, just attach a side panel in the same finish or anything else you like on the side.
On our island, for example, we put a 40mm (1.6 inch) multiplex board from the lumber yard on top as a counter extension. Cheap and nice looking.

Try different browsers.

You can definitely plan for dead corners.

Voxtorp is more expensive, but you save on handles.

There’s also a lot of input in the Facebook group.

I think Ringhult is very nice, for example—I used it for our living room furniture.

Great! That’s how we handled our leftover Ringhult wall cabinets. We simply used a wall rail to hang the three cabinets cantilevered and placed a nice countertop on top.

Hello tomtom,

Is the shelf surface in your picture made of glass? Also available at IKEA?

One more question for the IKEA kitchen experts here:

Does anyone have an idea why the planner only shows wall cabinets with a 37cm (15 inches) depth, but no 60cm (24 inches) deep ones?

For example, I saw a kitchen at IKEA (see attachment) that apparently was made with cabinets B60 x D60. Or do you think these might actually be 37cm (15 inches) deep cabinets that were mounted recessed?

These are all 60cm (24 inches), right? Maybe they are cabinet units installed above refrigerators/freezers (under additional wall cabinets).

Take a look at this product number. It is available in 40cm (16 inches) and 60cm (24 inches) heights. It can also be used as an extension.
