Hi,

I’d like to get your opinion on this.

At the front left in the photo, the baseboard was cut from the floor tile, but since there is a light wall tile running down on the back left and also on the right wall, I find the dark baseboard a bit distracting. In my opinion, a lighter baseboard would look better there.

Alternatively, a dark baseboard all around, with the light tile above it, would also create a consistent look.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Wall with brown wood-look tiles; red installation stub at the bottom.

Here is the result with the light-colored base:

Bathroom with dark floor, white wall, and drawn tile sketch; toilet on the right.

Small bathroom with wall-mounted toilet in front of dark wood paneling, white sink on the right.

Is there a reason why you didn’t extend the white tile on the left all the way across the wall up to the door frame?

I wonder the same. That single row looks rather isolated there.
But from a baseboard perspective, it’s the better choice.

Hmm... actually no particular reason. One row is intended somewhat as a splash guard. Otherwise, wallpaper will be applied in the front.

I don’t know how you use the toilet, but it doesn’t splash all over the place for me...
I would have extended the tiles up to the door frame or only installed a baseboard for the last row.
