Hello,

I am currently struggling to find a solid, good-quality sectional sofa for our new build.

We want a U-shaped sectional for the corner of our living room.
Width approximately 345-355 cm (136-140 inches).

The sectional should be good quality and upholstered in fabric (we do not like leather).

In the past, we and acquaintances have had bad experiences with the store brands from various furniture retailers.

At first, they were comfortable, but after a short time, they became very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs.

Which brands would you recommend that offer solid quality?

One that also holds up well for several years with normal use.

Budget max 2000-3000 €

Quattro system from Schaumstoff Lübke in Hamburg, if a seat height of 38cm (15 inches) is sufficient. Starting at €1800.
They last (almost) forever.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately we don’t like the look of those.

I currently have the following brands in mind:

Mustering
IKEA

That’s about it for me.
I’m not familiar with upholstery brands at all :/

We’ve bought a sectional sofa once (a private label from Hardeck) and were disappointed after a short time.

The sectional started creaking after six months, and you could feel the springs weakening where you always sit.

Which other brands should we consider?

The sectional started creaking after half a year, and you could feel the springs losing support where you sit the most.

We’re having ours custom-made and delivered from Poland. You can have anything built in—phone chargers, lighting, a bar, etc. But since we don’t want a disco in the living room or any fancy extras, we’ll go for a simple version with a storage bed box.

Where we order from, you need to know Polish. Otherwise, there are plenty of advertisements on Facebook for Polish companies that make custom furniture and have websites in German.

First of all, I recall several threads here that discuss quality for living room furniture. Just try searching for them.

Otherwise, visit a furniture store and look at the "brand-name manufacturers." However, at that price range, the selection of manufacturers will be limited. Ikea actually holds up quite well (based on friends' experiences).

Which brands can we also look at?

We got our sofa from Couchliebe, which you can find in many furniture stores. On their website, you can search for dealers.

We bought the model Sofa LS 821221. With the motorized reclining function and the ottoman, it was just under €3000. We immediately liked the fabrics and seating comfort, and so far we are very satisfied.
