Hello everyone,
I want to keep it simple and ask if anyone has already looked into the topic of turf in enough detail to recommend a good and affordable supplier or online shop! My landscaping contractor is going to shape the garden in the next few days. The landscaper suggests I should consider sowing the lawn in March. However, if I feel like it, I could also lay turf in early September, right?

In my opinion, lawns today should be chosen to conserve water as much as possible. There are good, drought-resistant seed mixes. The plants won’t look like golf course grass but tend to have thicker leaves. However, whether that should really be a priority…

Water scarcity is always a local issue. Why shouldn’t you water plants just because there’s no water coming from the tap somewhere else?Of course, if it works for you, that’s fine. @Bookstar even complained about too much rain and mold. But it would be unfortunate if readers from other regions didn’t think further and adopted your approach. Here, we haven’t had a single drop of rain all year, it seems. Local authorities are asking people to water street trees...Smialbuddler schrieb:
Municipalities are calling on people to water street trees...But this topic comes up every year.S

But this horse has been beaten every year.Yes, in recent years. That doesn't make it any better. Quite a few trees around here have already dried out, and the woods look like autumn. I don't see this as alarmism, but rather as bitter realism.I was complaining in April that my 8,000 L (2,113 gallons) cistern was already empty. Since May, I haven’t had to take a single drop of water from the full cistern, as it has rained a lot and continuously. The heat has arrived in the past few days, but the plants are still well supplied with moisture in the clay soil, and more rain is expected on Friday. No need for additional watering... Crazy world!!!
