chri1985Hello everyone,
I am currently working on my enclosure.
I poured concrete into the wall using formwork blocks.
Now I would like to attach 5cm XPS panels and then coat them with filler.
My question is, can I bond these XPS panels with perimeter foam, or is that not recommended?

But let me ask, why do you want to do this and what do you expect from it? How are you planning to protect against moisture?

Or what do you think would be best? Without XPS. That’s double and unnecessary work. Sealing and plastering is enough. If you want a smoother finish, first apply reinforcing mesh and then the surface texture you want.

This will result in a smooth finish and, most importantly, it will hold well. The mesh is used to prevent the plaster from cracking.
The plaster will be about 1.5 to 2 cm (0.6 to 0.8 inches) thick.
