Hello everyone,

I’m currently (once again) working on optimizing our KNX system and have come across the Gira One, which is supposedly a fairly new product. Despite researching (including on Gira’s website), I still don’t understand what additional benefits the "One" offers compared to the X1. The X1 serves as the smart home visualization, and when combined with the S1, for example, you can access the system remotely via smartphone from anywhere. I’m unable to see what role the One is supposed to play. Has anyone used this device yet or is currently using it and can share some insights? There’s also no mention anywhere that the One could be a successor to the X1.

Thanks in advance.

The restrictions apply to the One, not the X1!

Otherwise, I was referring to the sentence "GPA or something like that" in relation to the fact that the GPA is supposed to be "only" for the One. However, the X1 is also programmed with it. This means that the X1 hasn’t been studied in detail yet either.

Which you are absolutely right about. Until now, I hadn’t realized that the X1 also has the GPA.

But does this mean the One doesn’t offer any advantages over the existing modules?

The One is designed solely for configuring a pure Gira system (with a very clear product selection) without ETS, nothing more. You do not have a pure Gira system, so it is not applicable.
