I hope I’m in the right section now. 😱 As a banker, I struggle a bit with spatial visualization. The drawing shows a dormer. A dormer doesn’t take up any living space, right? So the knee wall on the right, left, and in the middle remains at 1.65 meters (5 feet 5 inches) clear?

Because in another forum someone already got offended and accused me of lying: This is not my hallway, etc. Only the dormer is identical.

Floor plan of a house with internal layout: living room, kitchen, and hallway.

Only a mischievous person would think badly of that 😀 SCNR

Unfortunately, I can’t enlarge the image enough, but that might also be due to the limitations of my netbook.
A “standard” dormer is built into the roof; when you look out of the dormer window, you can see the roof with the gutter. The knee wall remains unaffected and runs continuously along the wall at the same height.

It’s different with a cross gable – also called a standing dormer – where you reach full standing height in the gable area and the knee wall is logically interrupted at that point.

There are annoying people everywhere, and completely free of charge 🙄

Kind regards
