Hello everyone,

I have a gas stove in my new apartment that I operate with propane gas (bottle).

I have a question:
Should there be a gasket installed in the adapter between the large pipe of the stove and the smaller pipe that connects to the bottle, or not?

I went to the hardware store, and they said no gasket is needed because it would be damaged by the gas.
Right now, I have assembled it without a gasket, using only Teflon tape. So far, it’s tight. But normally, isn’t there supposed to be a gasket?

I’d appreciate any advice!
Regards!
