My wife and I have bought a single-family house where there is a garden shed of about 20m2 (215 sq ft) on the property. It has an old corrugated roof from the 1960s that contains asbestos. Now I want to remove that roof and install a new roof covering (gable roof).
In your opinion, what would be the most cost-effective option for a new roof on the garden shed? I am also considering installing a rainwater harvesting tank there.
I would really appreciate your thoughts!
Good luck.

Good luck.Your best bet is to visit a home improvement store, where you’ll find everything you need. Options to consider include bitumen shingles if you first install roof sheathing, but you can also simply use affordable roofing felt, which is perfectly adequate for a garden shed. Alternatively, bitumen corrugated sheets can be nailed directly to the rafters. The cheapest option will be roofing felt.

You will need a professional company to remove and dispose of it anyway.
I would clarify beforehand the condition of the rest of the house, just to make sure there isn’t any more inside.
