I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

We’re getting 13°C (55°F) tomorrow. Ridiculous.
I also have plants (again) outside that are not frost-resistant. But with these temperatures, they’re doing fine outdoors. I do think winter will come eventually, but then a lot of things that are already sprouting will get damaged. For January, it’s definitely way too warm. December was also too warm in the second half.
Oh, and rain—almost none. It’s still far too dry here. Last week we had some notable rainfall, but overall it’s a joke. The rivers are running very low; I was just checking again earlier. If they’re not replenished soon, the next summer with 40°C (104°F) and above is going to be interesting.

Hamburg. 10°C (50°F). Rain. But isn’t it like that all year round in Hamburg?
(I lived in Hamburg for 2 years about 10 years ago – it was definitely like that then)
I told my relatives in southern Germany the same back then.
However, if you look at it closely, while the total rainfall in Munich is higher, the number of rainy days is significantly lower. The typical drizzle in Hamburg doesn’t bring much rain but is still not very pleasant. On the remaining sunny days, though, the atmosphere at the beach spot is definitely above average!
