I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

I want to plant a hedge of about 20m (65.6 feet) on our property in spring. It should grow quickly and be dense enough to provide privacy. Ideally, it would reach a height of up to around 1.80m (5.9 feet).
It doesn’t have to be evergreen, but it would be nice if it also provides privacy during winter.
Do you have any suggestions? Last year, I planted some ligustrum in another part of the property, but so far, I am somewhat disappointed with them...

Hornbeam is resilient and fast-growing, with a fairly dense foliage. Cherry laurel is evergreen and also grows quickly, but it does not tolerate frost combined with wind very well. Both hedges require regular trimming to become very dense. Hornbeam keeps its withered leaves during winter, which not everyone appreciates. In spring and early summer, birds love it for nesting. Beware, it can be a paradise for cats.
