I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

I wouldn’t do it now either. Better to wait until spring.

But it’s definitely interesting... different websites offer completely different explanations... crazy.

Sod is still available until the end of November,
our last pieces have been laid for 3 weeks now and are all a deep green.

Well, sod doesn't need to take root since it is already placed on the soil, and it can develop deeper roots later on.

Not exactly colorful, but beautifully blue and white instead. The first real snow in the not-so-new house anymore 🙂

I just need a better solution than a standard snow shovel for the almost 250sqm (2,690 sq ft) of paving… this morning I spent almost 3 hours clearing 15cm (6 inches) of snow 🙄

leave it
with some luck it will thaw quickly enough to avoid becoming an ice rink

The weather forecast today is rather unfavorable. 1-2 degrees Celsius (34-36°F) with sun and clouds until 3 p.m., then dropping to -1 degree Celsius (30°F) with snow. Since we have a relatively long incline in the driveway, I didn’t want to risk it turning into an ice rink.
