I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Yes, I based it on the definition 32-64 according to the large, open, wiki-based encyclopedia.
@hampshire thanks for the kind words. It’s nice that you also have a gravel driveway and can share your experience firsthand. Fortunately, I don’t have a sloped site, but it’s good to know that a rake might be sufficient.
I imagine the work and the occasional spreading of the gravel with a rake can be quite meditative.

It’s quite a pleasant task – even my boys who help out with the work around the property agree.

And don’t worry too much about leaves. They’re part of it. If it bothers someone, they should remove them from their own property.
When I think about where all the leaves come from, should I really argue about it?

We still have crushed stone in the driveway, which makes it really firm.

Yes, my neighbors are generally quite relaxed, which makes me want to be even more considerate towards them. But I also don’t want to annoy them... I might be a bit too neurotic and overly eager to comply in this regard...

It definitely is—at least for the first 100 square meters (1,076 square feet). After that, the usual phases follow: fatigue, complaining, anger, excuses, blisters... until finally calm returns and you have to be careful not to clear out the entire community garden by mistake. It’s similar to the Camino de Santiago—once you push through the pain, it gets easier.

With paving, it's simple; leaves come and go on their own 😉
