I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

This will be eaten tomorrow ... more to comeThe smaller, the more flavorful – the zucchiniThis year, I planted a special pumpkin variety that is growing really well (nickname: Gollum) – however, it has almost exclusively male flowers. Very pretty, but I actually wanted it to produce fruit. I’ve already threatened to remove it if it continues to have only male flowers and no fruit. Since then, it has developed a single fruit (not much considering it’s taking up almost my entire garden) – as if the plant heard the threat.
My question: is there any way to encourage the development of female flowers? I didn’t actually plant it as an ornamental flowering plant.

After a successful kohlrabi harvest, the pumpkins are now glowing brightly in the garden bed. Next year, I plan to plant kohlrabi in six-week intervals, so we can enjoy the tender flavor for a longer time.
The tomatoes are slowly changing color as well, and the chili peppers are growing like mutants, they’re turning out really long. Otherwise, there are still beautiful color combinations on the terrace <3It all looks great!
What do you have in the background of the third picture, just behind the tree? It’s a bit blurry, but is that a very tall hedge or some shrubs? If so, what kind are they?

@ypg, I spotted bamboo in one of your pictures. Could you maybe share a photo of the plant? What type of bamboo is it, and how satisfied are you with it? Growth, etc.I’ll do that when I’m home. Definitely a Fargesia… Photos and more to come.kati1337 schrieb:
