A lounge requires a lot of space. 5x5 meters (16x16 feet) is not small. As seen from your pasted floor plans, it’s not too much space.
I have to redesign my garden again. In 2 or 3 years, my grandmother’s old garden will likely become a kitchen garden, and the beds at the bottom will disappear.
Swing, sandbox, slackline, balance beam, pool, dining area, hammock, fire pit, etc., all need space. I would also like to have a lounge corner like yours.
The pool wasn’t planned originally, but with the pandemic, we needed something with water. Now there isn’t enough space for the lounge, and somehow everything feels crowded. Or the lounge will go into the slope—between the hill and the house. Nice and shady, comfortable even in the peak of summer.
And the pool is planned to get bigger once the swing and sandbox are gone.
