I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

We have finally planted the sloped corner of our terrace.

Various ground covers, herbs, and roses.

Apply the bark mulch only in a very thin layer around the roses.

Thank you for the advice. We have not laid any bark mulch within a radius of 5cm (2 inches) around the roses. It is not very clear in the pictures. Or should the distance be increased?

I left more. Slightly more than the size of the roots. Bark mulch restricts oxygen supply.

Does this only apply to roses? Or do you also need to leave space for other plants?

We replaced the bark mulch around the plants with hay. Oxygen can pass through, and moisture is retained underneath. The downside: hay is a bit more volatile than bark mulch and therefore requires slightly more maintenance.
