I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

The birds didn’t touch the serviceberries here, so we were able to eat them ourselves.
Best regards
SabineIt looks different here in the neighborhood. When I see this, I definitely have to hurry up with ours.
Have the manufacturer and product name of this faux rubble stone wall been mentioned here yet?

Very tasteful! Personally, I tend to prefer a more colorful, mixed approach, but this has its own charm.
I am currently planning to add even more perennials and roses. I had to relocate a rose, which now sits a bit isolated on a patch of lawn, with only a few hibiscus shrubs some distance away. That small lawn area isn’t really usable for sitting or anything like that; I had sown grass there simply because I didn’t know what else to do with it at the time (before, it was a small asparagus patch^^). Now there is a beautiful Rosa hugonis (Chinese wild rose, which blooms wonderfully in April with many small open yellow flowers), and I will be planting perennials around it so that the area will have blooms from April through October. I’m really looking forward to that, as it’s quite close to the pavilion where I like sitting under the sour cherry tree.

A new week, and today the steel components were finally supposed to be delivered so we can continue.
If no progress was made, it was probably the metalworker’s fault... Our landscaper must have had a bit of a tantrum because as long as he can’t move forward here, he can’t really start anything new.
We’re also frustrated because we’re slowly eager to finish, and I have a whole batch of plants waiting to be planted. Some I already had to plant temporarily elsewhere because they were starting to wilt in their pots. Actually, we should have had a finished garden since last Monday.
Now we were told: the steel parts will DEFINITELY arrive on Tuesday, and we can finally continue.
That didn’t happen. We’re still waiting for the metalworker to finally get moving. Well, he said early June — maybe we should have asked for the exact year *hm*.
So no big progress here, only the slope under our balcony has been built up with dry-stone walls made from shell limestone:

There will also be shade-tolerant plants there (although the upper plants get some afternoon sun, but not much). There are even grasses that can be planted in the lower area. Let’s see what happens.
Overall, we really like it!
Otherwise: fingers crossed that we can finally move forward...
