Hello everyone!

Now that we have almost finished the exterior landscaping, we are gradually moving on to the garden irrigation and garden lighting.

How have you implemented this? Which types of fixtures and bulbs did you use?
I would prefer to work with 12V or 24V systems, as in my opinion, any leaks over the years would be less problematic.
Has anyone divided their garden lighting into different zones and integrated it into a smart home system?

Best regards,
Daniel

I don’t understand the question. You usually plan that together. 🙄 How many ares, which paths, etc., need lighting?

No wonder, since the quoted sentence isn’t actually a question. 😀

We are developing the garden gradually; there is no detailed plan.

I am having a standard electrical cable installed to the seating area in the garden. A weatherproof outdoor socket will be connected there. This way, I can plug in, for example, a string of lights or similar devices. All without any smart home system.

Of course, our outdoor lighting is integrated into the smart home system.
Garden irrigation should be installed before completing the landscaping 😉
The question is what you understand by smart home.

Bega offers systems that operate at the desired voltage levels. We use 230V (230V).
Controlled via KNX actuators.

Irrigation is best installed BEFORE completing the garden... Otherwise, you’ll have to dig everything up again, right?!
