Our current garage roof (see first photo) is leaking and needs to be replaced. The garage is only used for bicycles, tools, and similar items.

What is the best solution here? Sandwich panels? Corrugated sheets? Trapezoidal metal sheets? Or do you have another recommendation?

Additionally, we need to replace the wood at the underside of the roof overhang (see second photo). What would be a good alternative here? Plasterboard? OSB boards? Or something else?

For the roof, I would use metal sheets that look like tiles. They last forever and are affordable. You can have them cut to the required length or buy them as ready-made panels. And for the roof structure, use wood again. Drywall and OSB are not suitable for outdoor use.

If the noise of rain hitting the roof does not matter: corrugated metal sheets (more formally called trapezoidal metal sheets).

Our carport and terrace roof had the rafters covered from above with profiled boards, and a thermal membrane from Bauder was installed on top. It has worked perfectly so far and is quite easy to do alone; if necessary, a metal edge can be added at the border.
