we are currently planning our house and aim to start construction sometime next year...
Since the floor plan depends on the garage option (attached or detached), I would like to ask for your opinions before we finalize the layout.
Because we have the choice to either attach the garage directly to the house or build it as a separate structure, we want to find out what advantages and disadvantages you see for each option.
Our considerations:
-Attached garage: -Less space for windows
-Attached garage: +Possibility to have a basement under the garage (more space)
-Detached garage: +More natural light
-Attached garage: +Possibility of direct access from the house to the garage
-Attached garage: +The roof of the garage can be used for technical installations (solar panels, satellite dish…)
