Hello, we are building a 5-meter (16 feet) wide garage with a 3-meter (10 feet) wide door and an additional door next to it. This means the garage door and the side door need to match.

We like a door from Horn, but they don’t offer a matching side door.

This is our issue. How have you solved this?

We would prefer an anthracite-colored door and side door with an L-profile, or even better, an XL-profile.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Have you already checked the usual providers' catalogs? Some models can also be supplied in a custom color (RALabcd).

Good luck

Hello everyone!
We need a new garage door and are considering sectional doors.
Does anyone know a good and affordable site for these?
Thank you very much

Hello,

we are currently planning a new building project. A large double garage measuring 7x7 m (23x23 ft) with a big 5.50 m (18 ft) Hörmann M-Sicke sectional door is going to be installed. However, we are uncertain about the color. Originally, we wanted a dark color, something like anthracite or graphite, but I’ve now read that the panels might warp. The garage will face southwest. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes!

I would strongly advise against that. We have an anthracite-colored door that is less than 3 meters (10 feet) wide, but due to its east-facing orientation, it warps so much that I can’t open it at 6:30 in the morning 🙁
However, it can be opened manually – I don’t know if the same problem occurs with electric operation.

My father had his 5m (16 feet) sectional door painted white last year because it used to heat up extremely on the south side in racing green and often got stuck. It also constantly made popping and cracking noises as soon as it cooled down. However, it is about 8 years old. Maybe they are better now. Dark gray has become very common nowadays.
