Hello, I would like to know how much it costs to build a garage!
I want to add a garage to the right corner of my house, which means I would only need 2 walls plus a garage door.
Approximately how much would I have to pay for this? I have friends who might help me with the masonry work as a favor, but what does something like this typically cost, and what kind of roof should I put on it?

Thank you very much for your answers; you would really help me a lot!

Hello,
what do you mean by you only need 2 walls? Where is the roof supposed to rest? You can buy a prefabricated garage and have it installed. The cost should be around 10,000 euros (about 11,000 US dollars), but that depends on the model. However, this is only the price for a single garage; if you want a larger one, it will be more expensive.

Hello,
regarding the garage roof, you need to comply with the regulations that apply in every municipality. You must submit a plan and wait for approval before proceeding. Garages often have flat roofs, but that usually does not look very attractive.

Hello,
most garages have flat roofs, but not only do they look unattractive, they often have problems with leaks over time. A pitched roof covered with tiles looks nice. It should definitely match the style of the house.

Hello,
we received an offer from the construction company for a prefabricated garage kit. The total fixed price is 3500 Euro.
(The door was not electric in this case, but of course, that could be added for an extra charge.)

However, we are also considering building it ourselves with masonry. We haven’t calculated the material costs yet, but it will certainly be cheaper than having it built.

Good luck
