Dear Sir or Madam,
In my attic apartment, there is a problem in one of the rooms: above the walls and below the interior cladding of the roof, there is a gap all around the room that has not been sealed or filled. In all the other rooms, silicone sealant was used to close this gap. In this room, the gap is too large for silicone; in other words, I would need a very large amount of silicone to fill it.
What other options are there to close this gap? For example, using foam insulation, filling it with ready-made filler compound... and then applying silicone on top for aesthetic reasons?
I would appreciate any advice. Thank you very much and have a nice evening.
Brett

without knowing the exact wall structure and construction details: basically, for joints that are too wide or deep, there are joint profiles made of rubber (for example, available in the window section of hardware stores). Maybe this could be something for you?
Best regards
