Hello everyone,
perhaps someone has a tip for me or can confirm that everything is okay. I am a complete beginner, so I just want to make sure here.
New patio doors (a lift-and-slide door and a regular sliding door) were installed for me. Now the gap between the wall and the masonry seems a bit large. According to the window installer, I also have to accept additional costs for the profiles (covering). On top of that, there is the problem of finding a trim that matches the same color and grain – I’m still curious about the delivery.

Another issue is the external sealing, where liquid waterproofing is required, resulting in extra costs of over 500€ (euros). According to my electrician, this is very unusual because that material is extremely expensive; he wouldn’t expect it to be necessary.

Is all of this correct, or should I discuss it further? Attached are two pictures with measurements to help better understand the question.

Thanks in advance

Isn’t there going to be a roller shutter or something similar installed? What does it look like from the inside?

Is there anything agreed upon in the contract regarding the new windows? Who is responsible, what exactly, and at what price?

I would have expected the reveal (and therefore the gap) to be insulated.

Won’t the door then be too small? What does it look like behind the compression tape?

Questions, questions.

500 for the waterproofing at the bottom is not too much.

Usually, it is also stated in the quote that the waterproofing at the bottom is provided by the builder.
