Hello,

an earthquake 30 years ago caused a crack halfway up a gable wall.
The wall is a cavity wall.
Photos may follow.

Yes, questions are posted here, and when asked for photos and specific details, the response is "I haven't gotten around to it yet." What’s so complicated about simply showing photos of the crack since 01.12.? Then you can’t be surprised by ironic comments—or you probably shouldn’t ask at all if you’re not really interested in a well-founded answer...

Well, the users did ask for more information, and this is not the only quick question you’ve posted where additional details are requested, just like with many of the other questions. And, to be honest,

Given that time frame and the way the question was casually asked, you can only respond with humor or perhaps criticize the rudeness of such carelessly posed questions.

I currently don’t have access to the properties... period!
It was just a question about whether there is generally a specific procedure to follow.
However, I didn’t expect things to develop like this again!
Why do people then feel the need to make “ironic” hurtful comments? Why?

with such a short timeframe and a casually asked question, all that’s left is to respond with humor or maybe to criticize the rudeness of questions asked without care.

What is unkind or careless about this question?

Well, read the question in post 1 carefully again, and then think about who could seriously answer such a casually asked question—especially since you say you know you currently don’t have access to the property—and with what level of expertise. I can only shake my head right now.

It was just a question about whether there is a general procedure.

That would have been information for #1.
