Hello everyone,
Some time ago, I relocated for work from Ottobrunn (near Munich) to Hamburg and after a long search, I found a suitable attic apartment. Unfortunately, the problem is that almost the entire apartment has sloped ceilings. This means I don’t have much storage space, as the whole apartment will probably have to rely on dressers. Unfortunately, even dressers from Ikea and similar stores are still too tall for my small apartment.
Are there any specialized stores or online shops that focus on apartments with sloped ceilings and offer products like the ones shown in the attached picture? Or is custom-made furniture by a carpenter the only option, which would likely be quite costly? Who else has faced a similar issue and can offer tips?

I would suggest contacting a cabinet maker.
As shown by our kitchen, a cabinet maker, with comparable quality, is not necessarily more expensive than the larger suppliers.
Unfortunately, I can’t offer specific recommendations for Hamburg.
Best regards,
Dirk

I completely agree with Dirk. We had custom-made furniture tailored to fit several rooms, some even with beautiful integrated lighting. A comparison showed that we spent between 20 and 25% less than on similar ready-made furniture available on the market (if comparable options existed at all).

Is this a rental apartment or owned property?
The reason I ask is whether any structural changes are allowed or possible.
Years ago, I saw a show where they cleverly used floor-to-ceiling sloped walls. I thought the solution was brilliant.
They installed a track on the floor and a guide rail at the top, then fitted one or more sliding doors.
Possibly added some dividers in between, which could also be used for mounting shelves.
This way, the slope is partly concealed, and extra storage space is created.
