I’m new here and have so far been unable to find any concrete information regarding the installation of third-party dishwashers into the Metod kitchen system.
Has no one installed a fully integrated third-party dishwasher into the Metod system yet?
I understand that standard dishwashers don’t fit because they generally don’t have the required height matching the cabinet dimensions.
However, an XXL appliance, regardless of the manufacturer, should fit.
As an example, I have the Bosch SBV69M80EU built-in dishwasher. This is an XXL model designed to accommodate a maximum front panel width of 775mm (31 inches).
If this front panel is attached using a variable hinge, it should be possible to adjust it so that it swings over the toe kick.
Or am I missing something fundamental, and is there another reason why only the dishwashers from Ikea are supposed to fit?

I can understand that standard dishwashers do not fit because they do not have the required height for the cabinet dimensions.
However, an XXL appliance, regardless of the manufacturer, should fit.
As an example, I have the Bosch SBV69M80EU built-in dishwasher. This is an XXL appliance that is supposed to accommodate a front panel up to 775 mm (30.5 inches).
Or the Miele XXL, which can fit a front panel between 690 and 810 mm (27.2 and 31.9 inches).
If these are mounted using a variable hinge, the front panel should be able to be adjusted so that it swings over the plinth.
Or am I completely mistaken here, and is there another reason why only IKEA dishwashers are supposed to fit?
