HR-Chrissi16 Dec 2012 15:04Hello,
my new fridge-freezer combination is making loud squeaking and whining noises! At first, I thought it was an alarm, but it seems to be the fan. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this, or should I call customer service?
How can I even access the fan? If I switch the appliance off and on again immediately, it stays quiet for a while, but then the noise starts again.
The appliance has only been available since 2012. Are there others experiencing the same issue?
Thank you very much for any advice.

Nayla_106816 Dec 2012 21:44Hello,
to be clear and straightforward, call the manufacturer’s customer service hotline and have someone come to take a look. It’s definitely not normal, but it can happen—especially if the refrigerator was transported lying down, for example. I have a side-by-side refrigerator that made a terrible noise even after being transported upright. A technician came, replaced the part under warranty, and it was quiet again in the house. 😉
Best regards
