Hello,
a friend of mine wants to install a toilet on the exterior wall of his prefabricated house.
However, a backing wall is necessary for this.
A backing wall is generally useful anyway, as a future shelf or storage area, right??? That is my question.
What are your experiences?
Thanks, Tom

Oh, I must have missed that in your thread 😀
They were not personally criticized by me, but by another forum member who used the same tiles.

Thank you, that means a lot to me, especially since the tiles have also received some pretty harsh criticism here in the forum. They are from the company Steuler and are called Brush. When we bought them, they were available in yellow, blue, May green, and olive green. We chose May green. In the brochures, May green, May green Brush (with Brush, the colors run, similar to watercolor paintings), and white are often combined.

Oh, the same ones that were also installed in the "Fleischerhaus"?

We wanted colored tiles in the bathrooms since we need a little boost in the mornings. ;-)

I really relate to that, as people might say these days. We also added color to our bathroom by using multicolored wall tiles in the shower. The more traditional family members think it’s a bit too bold, but so far we enjoy it every time.

Pictura Realmonte Soft by Naxos.

I also think the green tiles look great.

Bold is a good word for it 😀
But your tiles really have something special. Doesn’t it look too dark on larger surfaces? Or do you have a lot of light in the bathroom?

I would rather go for Faber Canosa... Also on the list. I have a bathroom and a guest toilet that can look different 😎

Anyway, to get back to the topic – we will have built-up walls around the sanitary fixtures everywhere. We don’t mind at all – quite the opposite. Useful shelf space, no problems finding a good transition between tile/no tile, and I like that the wall then doesn’t go straight down smoothly but has a ledge. But I’m rather old-fashioned, as has been pointed out to me here 😀

Well, the bathroom is internal, but of course well lit. It definitely doesn’t feel dark. It’s not easy to capture that in photos, especially since I can’t get a good distance from the subject.
Modern bathroom: wall-mounted toilet, stone countertop, shark sculpture, white radiator.

Round white basin on wooden vanity, illuminated mirror, bathroom with towels.

Modern shower area with rain showerhead, hand shower, glass partition, and wooden cabinet on the side.

Modern shower: glass wall, rain shower, hand shower, wooden cabinet with toiletries.

Cool. Thanks for the pictures 🙂
I really like it!
