Hello everyone,
I am currently looking for a suitable front door.
Here is the issue: My front door should have an Ekey, but I do not want the door to be easily opened from the inside by simply pushing down the handle if it was locked from the outside using the Ekey. This is supposedly called a panic function, which I definitely do NOT want.
Now the question is whether there are front doors or locks that do not have this "panic function"?

Burglars always look for the weak spots in a house. Usually, the front door isn’t one of them. It’s more often windows that are left tilted open or patio doors. These are much easier to break into discreetly. I wouldn’t worry much about the front door and would focus more on the rest of the house.

And how are you supposed to get out unlocked with a fixed knob?My idea would be an additional fingerprint scanner on the inside or a button located a short distance away from the door/window. Then a knob would work as well.
I think this is simply a safety feature, for example in case of a fire. You shouldn’t have to search for a key first.

As already mentioned, you would need to install a button near the front door to open it. However, none of these solutions seems very practical.
