Hello, we are currently deciding during the selection process whether a triple locking system is sufficient.

The background is that although we have already selected the five-point locking system, I wanted a door with a mechanical automatic lock for convenience.
(A door where the bolts automatically engage when the door shuts, so no additional locking is needed).

Unfortunately, we have learned that this system is only available with triple locking. Now the question is, is that sufficient, or should we forgo the automatic lock and stick to the five-point system?

Well, with wired solutions as well as wireless, you can control motorized locks via relays.

For wireless, there are also complete systems available, like Homematic, Z-Wave, Zigbee, and many others. You can usually find several devices on the market. These are typically mounted on the inside of the door, operate on batteries or rechargeable batteries, and communicate using the respective protocol.

Yes, I also meant a solution with relays. I am always looking for experiences in this area.

We will install an automatic lock from Winkhaus (BlueAV) and rely on the company eKey for the control system. This will allow us to implement fingerprint, transponder, or other authentication methods.
