A Fronius SymoGen24 Plus inverter is being installed.

A Fronius Smart Meter is placed at the feed-in point so that both the household consumption and the surplus can be measured/calculated.
Now I would like to install a second Smart Meter directly in front of the heat pump.
The goal is to also display its consumption.
Is this even possible?
Unfortunately, there is little information available on this.
Measurement should be possible, but the consumption measured by the second meter is simply added to the household consumption, which would lead to an incorrect value.

That is possible. Whether it makes sense is another question.

What type of heat pump will it be?

Not decided yet. Possibly a Nibe from the S series.

I would like to have the heat pump’s energy consumption displayed.

Almost all heat pumps have built-in meters. Some come with their own apps, while others have interfaces to inverters and similar devices.

There is a video from Fronius in the form of a webinar that explains how to integrate additional consumers. You might want to take a look at it.

You can generally measure that more or less accurately with Shellys and track it in the app.
