We placed a spark guard in front of the stove, of course. The baseboards will stay in place... the stove needs some clearance at the back for air circulation. The heat-retaining mass is not very large. The stove is more for creating a cozy atmosphere than for primary heating. However, it would be relatively easy to retrofit with fireclay bricks.
Unfortunately, the piano will probably have to be moved to another location.
What I first noticed today is that the room air becomes extremely dry. We started the fire with two small logs, and the humidity dropped to 37%... hmm... 🙄

It naturally decreases when the temperature rises, since warmer air can hold more moisture. However, the actual amount of water in the air remains the same.Similar topics
