is it safe to place the Fritzbox Repeater 6000 in a child's bedroom without concerns?
Or is this questionable in terms of radiation?
On this floor, the child's bedroom is the only room with a LAN cable, so it can only be set up there.
Is the child’s age important when assessing this?
According to Fritz, the radiation is so low that no harmful health effects are expected, but what do you think?

WilderSueden11 Jul 2023 11:11There is no reliable evidence that Wi-Fi is harmful, and our current understanding of physics does not suggest that such evidence will emerge. Still, many people worry about it. If you are among them, scientific findings and advice from a forum likely won’t help much. 😉
If this is an issue, you can also set the Wi-Fi to turn off automatically at night using a timer. It’s also possible to configure it so that the Wi-Fi only switches off once the last device has disconnected. Surely everyone puts their phones on airplane mode at night if they are concerned about radiation 😉

FrankChief11 Jul 2023 11:14@WilderSueden No, we’re not doing any of that 😀
We’re not really worried about it.
It was just a consideration whether it might potentially harm young children or infants.
If the findings show that it’s not harmful, then I have no concerns.
I’ll also get a repeater and put it in the nursery because that’s where the wired LAN connection is.

DaGoodness11 Jul 2023 11:23Do you have a baby monitor in the nursery?
If yes, then don’t worry about Wi-Fi radiation :p

Make sure it is located a few meters away from the place where you spend the most time. For example, the router should not be placed on the nightstand right next to your head.
Due to the circular/spherical radiation pattern, the signal strength decreases with the square of the distance in meters (if I remember correctly).
