Nerkokasum29 Nov 2018 12:59Hello everyone,
We are interested in a house built in 2004, constructed using timber frame construction and equipped with a fresh air heating system from the company smeets.
Unfortunately, there are no documents or information available about the heating system, as the owner is seriously ill. We have a few questions and hope someone here can help us.
The principle of the fresh air heating system is that warmed and used air is extracted from the kitchen and bathroom and fresh air is supplied to the heat pump. However, we do not like the layout on the ground floor because there is a guest toilet and a bathroom of about 20m² (215 sq ft). We would like to remove the bathroom, as having one bathroom on the upper floor is sufficient for us.
Will the heating system still work if the pipes are rerouted accordingly?
The heating system was probably designed specifically for this floor plan, right?
How durable is such a fresh air heating system?
I would be very grateful for any information.
Best regards

To avoid drafts, multiple diffusers and exhaust openings with specific cross-sections must be installed in certain locations, which makes sizing quite complicated. What kind of prefabricated house manufacturer was it? You might be able to get more information about the heating system from them.

Does Bien-Zenker install heating systems from the company Smeets?
